Details

The Graduate Student Lounge was created from a
former machine room by Daren Krebsbach and a
number of graduate students with funds raised
by faculty, staff and students. The Graduate
Student Lounge has a number of comfortable
couches and chairs, a fridge, a microwave,
sink, coffee makers, table to eat a meal at
and a piano donated by Dr. Wittie. It also has a number of board games and magazines, an xbox game machine and a TV for graduate students needing distraction.
Graduate
students are encouraged to socialize in the
lounge.
It's a pleasant
room that helps students find creature
comforts away from the days work. Grad Lounge
is maintained as a "cooperative
effort" of all CS graduate students.

Lounge membership

Basic Lounge membership
The membership of the lounge is open to only the graduate students
and the faculty members of the Computer Science Department. There
is a fee of $10 for the entire year (or $5 for a semester). However, the lounge membership
depends on two simple conditions:
- You need to be considerate of other members.
-
You have to take personal interest in
maintaining the lounge in good shape
whenever you use it.
For more details on how to become a member and membership rules,
please e-mail the Computer Science Graduate Student Council.
